No government, no Wall Street wizards, not the even the combination of all the worlds financial centers with one single united plan of action can stop the forces of change that have been unleashed on us in this meltdown.The one thing we all know in our hearts as well as our minds is that we are uncertain like we have never been uncertain before.I am going to go out and smile at this THING like the first person ever to surf a 30 foot wave...

So, what I heard from them was:1) i'd rather surf the Internet than protect my children from a dangerous, known hazard that you are trying to eliminate.2) I'd rather pay $200 more a month and get "free" internet that costs $50/mo.

I have no problem wasting hours at work surfing the internet about things that have no value except maybe rarely on Jeopardy.

I read chapter 5 Analyzing a rental property and recently started web surfing on Zillow and Trulia.

But, after about 10 months I started to get a little stir crazy and needed to get my hands dirty so I started surfing HUD and Fannie Mae sites for a fixer-upper.

Make sure you ask one person for advice and follow it through rather then surfing. 

As far as getting started, I suggest you watch some podcasts and surf through the site looking for answers to any questions you have, and then possibly getting some books as well.

Those just surfing properties will likely just see the first few, but once those few get their interest they will wade through 20-30 more and make a preliminary decision.
