I would tell folks at the time with 30k brand new homes that Lehigh was probably one of the cheapest places in US if not the world to live everything considered US medical and fire and police etc etc and no state income tax.So here we are today de ja vu all over again with hundreds of investors stuck with half built houses and a the vast majority of all these were spec for rental purposes not to live in..

Why would they stop if nobody sues or gets the police involved?

Even police officers miss several shots during gun fights.

The numbers are awful, ROI is awful and imagine if one of these fellows come across Morris Invest that promises you the convenience and net 12% return for just 40-50k which can be chump change if one saves correctly this area.I've just listened to BP podcast episode 257 featuring David Greene who is a police officer in SF investing out of state.

For instance, at one point when I was working as a senior accountant in a property management firm, I was training a guy who was a CPA for 30+ years even though I was hired 2 months before him.I worked only in real estate accounting and financing and became CFO.

I currently work with a local hospital police in an "as needed position".

If there is evidence of intentional destruction of the property, you can call local police authorities, but in my experience, they do not get involved in any situation that "smell" of civil action; they will simply tell you that it is a civil matter.
