@Simon Lloyd Kind comment, but I'm doubtful my comments are that insightful - regardless, BP is probably stuck with me for a while ... and you will remain as possibly the only Canadian BP Pro for a little longer. ... but seriously, you need to come to the Maritimes so we can work on your geography - we're just a little over halfway between you an Newfoundland (as the crow flies).

@Stephen E.The phenomenon has yet to become pronounced in the Maritimes amongst residential real estate, but we have encountered "parking" money from Asia vying for multi-unit complexes in the past 2 - 3 years.

I just walked one of the oldest private estate houses in the Maritimes today (c1850) that is still in the original family - who owned a textile mill in the city which operated from the early 1800s through to ~1955.There is one section of stone in the gable end which needs repointed and a couple of loose stones moved back into place, but structurally the place was amazingly as straight and true as when it built.

Particularly since 2008, in the US we're moreover now in "uncharted waters" under UN subsidiary, Maritime Admiralty 'legalese...' but one thing is obvious, those in power (you've likely never heard of) can order the "printing" of (seemingly) unlimited Xs and Os, plus the approx. 2% of fiat monopoly IOUs in physical circulation (IH$ dollar bills, for e.g.)

While MTL and the GTA have sufficient populations to potentially create a steady inventory for wholesaling, in a region like the Maritimes (NB, NS, PEI), you have population of 1.6 million (about the same as the Island of MTL).
