It has come to mean a fully furnished down to the sheets and towels rental often rented by traveling professionals for typically 3 months. or did I not need to answer that as this is the Medium Term Rental forum?

If you haven't already, you should research the stats on Furnished Finder to see how many people are looking for a midterm rental, how many units are currently available and the configuration and prices hosts are offering.

The house is set way back at the end of a long winding driveway, the front is fully fenced for maximum privacy. 

I wouldn't necessarily recommend that a family with 3 kiddos go out an buy an STR but since you already own it and have it furnished, its a pretty easy trial.
