I was just suggesting to David that he chill out about the term "HELOC", when (given his massive savings) there's ample alternatives for him that will accomplish the same end (and most likely - cheaper)...And again I ask, what sane person would drain whatever liquid money they have currently and then dump everything going forward into the mortgage?
