The IRS may not be happy if you don't distinguish.  

For me it really starts with the motivation and drive to do things bigger than oneself.

However, scale and the ability to regularly pull in multiple guests and revenue streams in a month in a hotel distinguishes it from an apartment or condo.

There are so many newbies here in San Antonio and people looking to start nowadays because of the hot market so it will be hard to distinguish yourself and stand out to be honest.

While the risks are not as great if you are just hiring one or two people, failing to properly distinguish between an employee and subcontractor can raise major headaches down the line. 

Heck even Craiglist distinguishes principals from agents strictly. 

I haven't had a bank or finance company distinguish between "business credit" and personal credit.

What distinguishes you beyond that is your expertise.
