I'm managing Director of a 501 (C) 3,  with a CPA that handles what you seem to have expertise in.  

I wrote to my most cooperative Housing Authority Director and this is the response I got back from her.  

If you represent buyers for that project and get commissions as a realtor (and on top of it don't disclose it), it's promotion for all intents and purposes and against the rules so I was just warning you against that in a friendly manner (I'm not here to play the police and people can see through direct or hidden promotions it's not my role to judge for others).

I served on the Board of Directors for 2 years a few years back. 

They are all of the gurus and wholes sale ops… They FUND.. the REIA…so the REIAs feel that they can’t advocate “ no equity = no deal”…and the Boards of Directors… have ties to the big investor machines…There ..ARE….
