I don't see "mature shade trees" as a selling point on listings after this, and I will look up before parking from now on.  

When I researched it, I found that if it’s painted, it can’t be painted any color darker than the existing vinyl color in order to avoid warping. 

If you have 1 tree and it grows you have some shade.

@Natalie Schanne  the darker wood look 'tile' in front of the island is a commercial vinyl product (from Lowes) that we had to glue down on a subfloor because of the original floor condition.

Suddenly the tree shading their windows is cut down, there are leaf blowers going at 7 am on the weekends, water shut offs 'for maintenance', etc.The issue here is that whatever his play is (and it doesn't matter what it is), you are along for the ride because your only remedy is lawsuits if he's not playing ball. 

Building houses, barns, warehouses, simple shade shelters for livestock, etc etc was just part of growing up for me.

Just because they mowed the lawn and bought mulch to spread around the shade tree out front doesn't mean the poison ivy isn't growing like crazy around back.9.
