If they are lying about this they are lying about other items.I would guess they have credit problems and one of them is likely a convicted felon.

You can also deny on habitability limitations (# of people vs # of bedrooms), a consistent no pet policy if they have a pet, Megan's Law registrants, ex convicts on parole or Sec 8 applications if you do not want to do the work they request after their inspection.

Tread softly, sounds like he's not yet convicted of the most recent activity.This applicant would lose points in my screening due to having multiple criminal events and for the most recent being so recent.Additional occupants rather than new applicants are a different animal.

Also- at least in NJ, you can expunge.Sometimes people will report even when it has been dealt with in these manners. he's been convicted !
