If the broker doesn't have multiple offers and they're simply lying to you, its hard to give advice on how to do business with someone who is just playing games, best bet is to use your gut to determine whether or not they're bluffing

And you'll have to pay to defend yourself and hope that you can subsequently recover your legal fees from the other party when the truth comes out.That being said, if the guy says he is going to the 'city' to file the lien, he likely has no clue and is just bluffing, so you can probably get this under control with a stern letter from your attorney to keep his emotional decisions in check.

based on what the Attorney is stating, your contract with the PM may have an imdemnification clause releasing the management company of any liability, or the attorney is bluffing, and hoping you will sign a hold harmless letter removing the pm company from the lawsuit.
