I was thinking of PEI where the non-resident rates are 25-65% higher (combining provincial and municipal portions).I suppose this is yet another reason that makes New Brunswick more attractive for investment.

Technically, the tax rate is the same on owner-occupied and non-owner occupied, but an owner occupant receives a rebate on the provincial portion of the property tax (between 40 & 50%).
