Opinions or experiences, let me know I live in Canada and have investments in Portugal for ten years with the right people, but I don't love it. you lose money once awhile compared with you being there helping to make decisions.I would only invest in another country if the returns are really better than where I live.

This is where they backed us into a corner.My mom moved to Portugal and they are still living in the past, much of their thinking is still based on the old ways when you had the padrons own the land.

I ask because since I am overseas and cannot use my VA loan, I'm warming up to the idea of investing in European markets.Ideally Portugal but I'm open to other places as well.

@Will Fraser Algarve, Portugal...one if the safest countries in the world, good health care, great weather all year around, excellent food and inexpensive ...oh yeah..beautiful beaches in this most southern part of europe..

I would really like to post information about deals that I have done in Portugal, Spain, Argentina, etc...I think we need an international version of the website.

The countries I prefer are Spain, Italy, Portugal, France but I'm open to all of Europe, really.I would prefer Spain or Italy, as it is easier for me to get finance in these countries.
