I would argue that in legal matters, you should seek legal council for opinion.

Seems like the better plan would be to go to the city council meeting and prove to them that you are not running a STR.

@Sailin Li I am in the Gig Harbor, WA area and the city council has passed a temporary ban (trying to make it permanent) against STR.

At least the process here will be harder than just a city council getting together and banning it overnight on a whim.
