@Raymond McGill  absolutely.. small banks are generally local community banks.there charter is to service the community... you live and work in the community.. you are their targetnow you do have to qualify and real estate is still tough... in most markets and only the prime borrowers are going to feel the love... beginners unless they are super high net worth or W 2 earners with substantial provable income... beginners with limited financial capacity are not going to get very far  ...

So if it's a "community" bank, their purpose and charter MIGHT be to only serve the community that is around them.

And since we use an FDIC chartered commercial bank those accounts are covered fully to the full amount of deposit.

Someone says they are in the running for a fellowship, my employer is a Charter Member, our Companies Rep on the Board office is next to my bosses.

I've had some other, but related users come look at the property; Boys&Girls Club, a charter school, someone that wanted to convert into .  

Most banks have federal regulators or are in a correspondent banking relationship with nationally chartered banks.

For non credit unions (regular banks), most typically can establish a deposit account for both domestic and foreign LLCs unless there is something in the banks charter that requires it to restrict its services to locals.

We are licensed and regulated because we went through a multi-year regulatory review and approval process in order to obtain a trust company charter. 

The city is pretty reasonable on their inspections so that's not a big deal.I was buying in CR before I had to move to Prescott, AZ for a job in 2009 and the bank I was using said they couldn't loan to me any more because I was an "out of state real estate investor" and that was against their charter. 

Charter schools like Drew Charter (highly ranked statewide) in Kirkwood is a good example of how you can have a poorly rated school district but a great Charter school that anchors the area.OTP, you have to put a lot more weight on school ratings.
