So not only do I look unprofessional in my first interaction with my new tenant, but I'm also stuck with the terms of some one elses lease not just for the one month as I had planned, but for another 12 months. 

My biggest weakness as An investor is most definitely in the tax/legal aspect, and I believe while being overseas an online entity could increase the possibility of further developing my knowledge on the topic through FaceTime/Skype style interactions.

Also, I have previously interacted with you in forums and had a good impression, that you are serious person with real world experience and good stories and advice.

I do think you make an important point about interacting with prospective tenants in person but focus on behaviors and relevant income issues.

Hi Matt,BiggerPockets is definitely the place to be to interact with local investors and agents for off market properties.

Prior to closing, you're interaction with many of your team members; GPs, LPs, attorneys, property managers, etc.. ensuring everything is lined up as best as can.

Thanks for the share - we need to find a spot on this place to interact with people actively doing build to rents and actively developing land....

Would you prefer for the meetup to be nothing formal, just a casual hang out to interact with other investors in the area to discuss deals, hopes, and dreams, etc..... or would you prefer to have a topic to discuss and possibly have someone in the real estate world (bankers, lenders, financial advisors, Inspectors, etc.) come to chat with everyone about what they can do to help and what they look for? 

Again, the BiggerPockets store has some books for this or you can learn by watching podcasts, reading blogs, and interacting on the forum.
