Around here clay pipe was used for a lot of sewer lines.

I should also mention the house is 97 years old and the sewer line is likely clay tile. 

or would it be reasonable to expect the expansive clays to dryout over time after grading is corrected thus fixing the slab?

Its like Clay Manship got on here and said he sold property to them.. that's one guy removed. .. but I know clay is just a wholesaler middle man in these deals.

But let's hope it's just a clogged drain line, if so put those blue tablets in the line to prevent from clogging again.  

Does it sit on clay and it is contained or is it really earthy soil where the oil can penetrate deep, also is the property close to water or a downspout where it is being projected over a large area?

I'm a program manager and work on a software development team using Agile development so my world is tech-filled like Trevor.Wouldn't you want your contractor to be able to use a tablet or smart phone to easily create a list of materials for your job site?
