I reviewed the original and adjusted tax docs and it seems the only change I can find is on the NJ 8960 -Line 5A shows a lower value by about 4K on the revised copy so there is definitely a change but that is the only place I see any difference.  

If you didn't do any testing, you are definitely going to have an issue if the house was covered in mold.

Definitely recommend reading up on or talking with a CPA on what expenses can be deducted as a repair and what has to be capitalized, as that will affect possible losses. 

At this point, I definitely would find some solace in that.
