I know this is an old thread.I'd like to get a more recent opinion of these apps.I think the DFD options is very interesting.What we want to do is endorse one of these for our Real Estate Club in Greenville, SC and have a contest for our members to see who can find the most deals with the software.Maybe try and get a rep from the company we choose to come and speak at one of our in person meeting and also negotiate a longer trial window if possible for our members.

One option might be to explore adding air purifiers or filters directly into the system to help mitigate odors.

At least you have the option of saying yes or no before it is sold. 

Transportation options are plentiful.

Another option could be a home equity line of credit (HELOC) if you have enough equity in your primary or second home.

All things being equal, a simpler option would be to terminate the lease with a penalty of one month's rent, agreed to in writing.

Not sure why people go for 40-year fully am instead of just traditional 30-year with 10-year IO option, I tend to think the 40 year term is more of a gimmick
