@Brian Burke  some of the Silverado lots are steep as a cow's face so those will be big bucks to replace.. there are some other pretty spectacular lots if they come up homes will be in the 3 mil range so if one can snag a 500 to 700k lot might work.. we went into Rohnert park with our 4 acres there next to the casino.. figuring housing crisis and maybe we can get fast track..

It's less about sitting on the beach sipping mai tai's all day, and more about being able to do what you want, when you want, with whomever you want. 

The scene in the movie Casino where the guys are being bludgeoned with baseball bats come to mind when things go south.

If so, investing for appreciation driven by other factors would be in the same category as going to the Casino.

3 colleges, a casino, an airport, big medical center....crime rate is a little high but coming from New York it doesn’t feel bad.

The schools aren't going anywhere, the hospitals aren't going anywhere, there's a casino thats almost finished.

Kind of like one of those Indian casino's.

If you are looking to buy land and knock down properties and just sit on them I would look going behind the Motor City Casino and buying in the area.
