However, when looking at my profit and loss statement, the principal payments are not captured as expenses.

If enough appreciation and equity capture/pay down and you have held long enough to get long term cap gain rate, paying the taxes may still leave you with sufficient margin for it to make sense depending on what your goals are. 

Price it competitively to begin, then begin to increase it slowly - look to capture repeat guests and spend time tracking competitive market data and events to maximize revenue and nights.  

Quite a few of these money players either are themselves or are associated with family offices that have interests to capture the tax credits for themselves and or their clients while also potentially profiting from the upside in equity.I don't know Michigan folks, but there is a company in Los Angeles that does deals nationwide.

I take videos for things I need to capture movements, such as water draining through toilets/bathtubs/sinks.
