hi  well im not here for the real state thing but instead im here to ask a question, two years ago i had a central air system installed in my house, i had te actual air machine and the evaporater cabinet replaced but not the ducts.

I am adding some cabinets to avoid a kitchen remodeling.Jim.

He had said he would be out there every week, but he wasn't showing up, and I had paid for materials directly to him for Cabinets, Hardwood flooring, ETC...in which he said he had in his warehouse, and I trusted him.Finally I got fed up and said that I was going to have to find someone else to finish the job (About $20K left to do & it Was a total was a $70K Rehab JOB and I would like the Cabinets and Hardwood flooring I paid for and other materials back, or would like $10K back.  

First you really need to determine what type of cabinet style you want.

The kitchen cost $1400 including all cabinets, stainless steal appliances (microwave, fridge, range, dishwasher) and granite bench-tops.

I really like the cabinets in the kitchen. 

So here is how I would set this up: Kitchen: Appliances - $6,000 Cabinets - $10,000Countertop - $70-110/sqftSink - $1,500Faucet - $500Cab pulls - $500 (or $6-10/pull) Install - $2,000Flooring: Floor product (unfinished): (expect to pay 4 - 10 dollars per board foot for anything quality) Floor finishing (sanding, coating etc) roughly $3/Sq ft (as long as you are using a standard coating (polyurethane) if you want to go higher end with an oil or stain expect this to jump to 4-5/sq ft Bathrooms:Demo: $/hour x expected hours Underlayment: Schulter Shower System (approx: 500/shower enclosure) Tile/grout/thinset: 6-10 sq/ftInstall: $3-6 sq/ft Lighting and Electric: (pricing includes installation)   Switches: approx $30/switch  (this assumes a mid range Leviton 3-way dimmer) Outlets: $10 (TR Leviton duplex, GFI where needed and duplex/USB combo in Kitchen Island and a few choice locations) Lighting:Surface mount approx $150/fixtureCan: approx. $250/fixture (assuming old work install by electrician)A little more on why I do it this way: Kitchen: You can figure out exactly how much your kitchen is going to cost before you start.

Each unit is 1800 sq ft with high end features, such as: Granite counter tops, top of the line cabinets and vanities, 10 ft ceilings with crown molding, top of the line appliances, wide open floor plans with travertine floors, 3 beds 2.5 baths with a garage and an upstairs balcony.

No cabinets in home.

I have had my husband get annoyed about the install on a couple of items like fans and microwaves before I learned. did you know those microwaves have to have something to bolt into on the top...and they don't make cabinets 8 inches tall....
