(I feel this is the least desirable/most expensive way, but may be easier to find properties)I'm in your shoes buddy except I dont have any retirement fund coming in in ten years unless I create it now.

Hi everyone, looking for some “what would you do in my shoes” advice from some seasoned investors here.

High achievers always move the goal line out anyway; so, tying your happiness to the end result rather than daily action can result in unhappiness along the way.Regarding real estate investing, add value...it speeds up the wealth building process. in the For What ever its worth category.. to me real estate is life.. its a life style.. there is no retirement.. not sure why folks get so worried about retirement.. you get your stable of whatever kind of real estate you want  sFR multi commercial  Notes  short term lending .. fix and flip  value add  MHP  storage spec building etc etc.. and you nurse them along and work with them until you pass through the pearly gates.. why retire even if you retire with rentals your still involved in some manner.. if I looked at real estate that way I retired at 18 when I started selling the stuff it was and is not a JOB to me its a lifestyle..

Single family residence in Los Angeles (built in 1962) has only 1 covered parking spot, and a second cannot be added.Do I have to comply with current parking requirements (2 spots) to add a detached accessory structure for storage etc. 

I state my rooms are furnished and if they don't want the furniture they have to remove it themselves to my basement storage then reinstall it when they move out. 80-90% of people leasing my units for 1+ years have opted to use the existing furniture and mattresses. 

But at the same time, none of this would have happened if they would have planned ahead and found storage for both the vehicles they knew they didn't have room for anyway.

Sometimes I hate being so goody-two shoes, lol.

Get your walking shoes on and start looking at open houses every weekend and keep track of what they sell for.

If it's commercial, is it offices, MFH, storage, or something else?

The reason I can save so much is because I have a large storage space in the back of one of my buildings (that my PM co rents from my bldg entity, of course) full of basically everything I need to keep me going.
