Multi-families are trending in particular.Also the area is diversifying economically with the major new infrastructure projects on Hwys 195 and 190 that are just finishing up, Texas A&M Central Texas campus growth and the new post hospital opening up.Obviously it depends on what the investor is looking for and the strategy they are comfortable with, but I like to think Killeen has opportunities for certain strategies.Not to suggest San Antonio isn't a land of opportunity as well.  

Mark,If you are used to and have the infrastructure (people and systems) and the guts to handle C-D properties, then by all means get the deal as this sounds like an awesome opportunity.I was able to get 2 buildings - a 36-unit and a 24-unit with no money down - exactly taking over the mortgage payments of the seller.

I'd imagine that the cellular provider would be seeking to improve the infrastructure in the particular area first?

I think it's on the cutting edge and maybe you command slightly higher rents because the tenants appreciate that concept.Sorry to hear your unit developed a leak, but that's a great idea on how to monitor usage and catch a leak!

My research says I could go higher on rent and still not be at the area top for the quality of the unit, plus it includes W/D and alarm system with monitoring.
