Since you plan to throw her out - see if you can help her move and find some place for her, Medical is very helpful for assisted living I believe - or perhaps get her family to do so, if she has family.I think someone else mentioned the 10:1 price rent ratio - I use this as a rule of thumb so the way it is now it doesnt work, but if you can improve the rents it will work. the price doesnt seem high for 1700 sf in LA.

Hey all, I'm stationed in Germany and am sending mywife nback to Washington state due to some medical issues with my daughter.....we would like to buy a multifamily home with VA for her when she arrives and then move into (buy) a SFH when I join 9 months later.....we plan to tell va the home is too small and use the remainder of benefit to move into SFH. ....the reality is its the truth. .....four people in 750 sq ft doesn't work. ....it does for my wife and two small children. ....anyone have any insight?

.$1,500 in medical debt. $25 per month.$6,000 on an installment debt because the sewer line collapsed last year. 5.5% interest $175 per month.Personal Loan $1500 repaid at $250 per month (balance of the land contract after deed was transferred.)Own free and clear a 10 year old mini van that runs pretty well.I have $2800 in a Roth 401k and $1500 in a Roth IRA.I work in 100% commission sales as a mortgage originator and income varies per month from $0-10k.We drained our emergency fund last month due to some health issues.We budget $2k per month for bills and try to keep $1500-2000 in an emergency fund and liquid.
