See Vacant Building Ordinance and registration form at https://ipiweb.cityofchicago.org/VBRCN196039Post, on abandoned building, name, address and telephone of owner and owner's agent for managing, controlling or collecting rents on building so legible from nearest public street or sidewalk. (13-12-125)...but sometimes I see also a yellow sticker on the building. the building does not have a red cross on it. is the yellow sticker indicative of some major damage such as flood, extensive fire damage or structural damage ?

Many times they won't answer.you must realize that if there is a NOD filed on the west coast the homeowner will receive no less than 100 to 200 yellow letters from investors and Realtors and mortgage brokers all offer some assistance.. door knocking is by far the best method to buying one of these.The laws preclude your profit on them though and if there is substantial equity you must give the old owner the lions share etc.

And then I research mahagony and learn that people pay more for mahagony than something built out of good ol southern yellow pine, or oak.The school of hard knocks has taught me that 3 bedrooms and 1 bath is somewhat functionally obsolete for resale, but seems everyone else already knew that.

You can get it in any sheen so it will not change the appearance of your paint if you don’t want it to and it is perfectly clear/does not yellow over time like polyeurethene.
