That's great to hear that you're graduating and you want to get into multifamily.I would start off in a commercial real estate firm, learn the systems, the sales/buying process, how to analyze deals etc...

They typically require a higher down payment and come with slightly higher interest rates, but they streamline the process for investors with nontraditional income.Finally, for long-term scalability, you might want to connect with lenders specializing in expat or foreign income borrowers.

Rinse and repeat this process over time.

The landlord can then proceed with the eviction process in court if the tenant does not remit payment.

Check w/ the City / County to see what the permitting process is, and what if anything you would have to do regarding plumbing / electrical.

Since this will be a lengthy process I will attwmpt to fill these units up with short term office tenants, or anyone that is looking for storage space. 

Also, beware that building in a location like that can be a very long process depending on where you're talking about.

But if you just can't shake it, it's probably your BS meter telling you that you don't believe they will have your best in mind during the coaching process.
