Buy something then the following year rent that out and then buy something else. 6% interest is better that 100% interest in rent in my opinion.

@Kim Tran There isn’t a direct equivalent to a 1031 exchange for selling an investment property to purchase a primary residence, as 1031 exchanges are strictly for like-kind investment properties.

However, people don't follow this and will rent out or move to an LLC after closing, your decision.
