It’s the cost of doing business, like $300 a turn for cleaning or $100, depending on location and if it’s a 3000 sq foot house in FL or a 177 sq foot cottage in Sag Harbor. insurance rates are unpredictable right now in FL, unfortunately, and the cost of doing business.

While my rate was more like $ 5/day, including food, in several places in the Philippines, I found that a cold shower is not so bad, when you're living in a bamboo cottage right on the beach in 80-90 degree sunshine ;-)

Joseph GozlanI was just making a point about how many condenser thefts happen out in the mid west and deep south  its a cottage industry... not suggesting your particular buy was seconde hand as it were..one of my larger venders ( owns lots of homes) does the same thing he is always on the look out for used stuff...

The heck with the cheese, let me out of the trap.

When I was a young kid we rented our 2 bedroom cottage for less than $1,000/month and many other working class folks could afford it there too.

Stack up on the mac and cheese, collard greens, get some chickens, grow some potatoes.  

Specifically, I was interested in the cottage plans which are detached single family homes (3 bed/2 bath at 1,300 sf).
