HVAC contractor will:- supply and install 80k BTU 92% gas furnace on first floor- supply and install 3 ton coil- supply and install 3 ton condenser- supply and install 5 zone fujitsu mini split system on the 2nd floor with copper lines and slim duct (2-7k indoor, 2-9k indoor, 1-12k indoor units)- supply and install new duct grilles and registers- supply and install new refrigeration piping, exhaust piping, thermostat- supply and install new natural gas piping to accommodate gas load Estimate is $17,700 and I have no idea if this is fair or in the ball park.Any help or direction is much appreciated.

So I take a look.Well, during these long months on the market the roof starts leaking, the a/c above the ceiling overflows condensate, the ceilings start falling, the wallboard gets all wet, mold grows, vandals break windows, and fire ants invade the interior walls (this is slab-built).

I actually got the condensed appraisal done right after I finished and tenants were in place, so was expecting it to be in the range it came to be.

No duct work needed just a pair of small tubes and a couple of wires to each " head " mounted on wall, small condenser unit sits outside. 1100 sq ft probably 2 heads depending on layout of house.

In the past I have paid in the ball park of $2200 - $2400 for both the outside condensing unit and the evaporator coil to be installed.

We are adding central air so the window units are being replaced.I put wood framing above and inside the window unit so it could not push it in again.I checked the other window units and they were too high off the ground to get pushed in so I did not take extra precautions.Flash forward a couple of weeks and the HVAC company set a condensing unit near a window which had a window unit.
