I was also motivated by Robert Kiyosaki and got myself into the real estate.  

Emmett has been a huge motivator for myself and has been mentoring me to do better in my own endeavors.

There are many ways to find motivated sellers - you have to think creatively...there's more than one way to skin a cat!

Although in my opinion, bandit signs are a much faster approach in regards to finding motivated sellers and/or cash buyers.

Once you get going and start making some money, it's a good way to find even more motivated sellers, but you should get a lot of calls just from the signs.

These books teach you how to handle situations, how to find solutions based on your value system, set clear boundaries with people and overall understanding people's motivations and why they do what they do (which is extremely helpful in any interactions with people).
