If I was the tenant that got damage from another tenant's water heater, I would expect him to pay the bill.If it was a pipe in the building and not in their unit, then I would think the landlord would be responsible.

Good luck. haha i would run away from anyone self-proclaiming as "financial expert" with the expectation to "meet the guru / mentor/coach / master of all business" in his/her personal residence lol I have not google him yet but I bet he is taking picture in front of luxury house and driving sports car ?

Think about it now with the new brokerage laws where buyers are expected to pay brokers fee's if they are not paying thousands to mortgage brokers it leaves them more money to pay their Agent who actually finds the house for them helps them with insprections etc etc.. buying that home in British Columbia really opened my eyes to how goofed up our owner occ lending process is .. and costly.

I think this is extreme price gouging, especially since we did not agree to pay that kind of money and if he was expecting that kind of money, he should not have awaited to the very end to tell us.

Also advertising costs.On loans, I would hunt for an 5 year fixed interest only with low pre-pay penalties that you can refi when rates finally come down (hopefully).Landscaping / snow removal is legit and is more viariable than you would expect.
