Conversations with a person land so much better than a message thru FF.Also it is helpful to know that most Corporate Housing companies or Insurance Agencies that are trying to find housing for their customers and reach out to you, they do finds leads on FF.  

Plus they are all busy doing occupant custom remodels.Flippers and landlords like me have alwyas been forced into being hands on, the crew chief, over handymen and a few licensed trades.   

While I could sell both properties and turn a large profit, avoiding ongoing maintenance and property taxes, I’m also interested in holding on to both properties as long-term investments.I’ve thought about possibly doing a full demo and rebuilding a custom home in Carlsbad for personal use or to sell down the line for a significant profit.

These two have become very popular over the last few years, and you'll get mixed reviews from all sides. 

Reading the reviews they are 150 5* . owners have had it for 20 years. 

Doing anything at scale would likely take an act of congress, decades of litigation and environmental reviews, multiple huge overlapping federal bureaucracies working together, not to mention much of the available federal land is not useful for building housing on as it's in remote areas far from jobs with no water and sewer access, roads or infrastructure... so easier said than done.
