If your house can host larger groups/families then it’s a no brainer. 

Maintenance is a pain point for a STR host!

I know there is a company that offers different rentals to hosts for their STR, but the name isn't coming right now.

Think about potential risks that come with being an Airbnb host, such as changes in demand throughout the year, new rules that might be put in place, damage to the property, and competition from other hosts.

I see a lot of need for hosts to connect with others to share best practices, problem solve, make connections and so on in a live, interactive way so that is the purpose of this group.

Ive been hosting my primary residence in Denver for years without incident, and each year renew license etc without no issues outside of the standard bureaucratic headaches.

Mostly I get guests who are visiting family, businesspeople who need a longer term stay, and now I am hosting guests involved with suppliers who are scouting the area.

That's a giant red flag for that grocer potentially declining to renew their lease, vegan gluten free customers don't want to walk through a cloud of cigarette smoke to get to their ethically sourced non-GMO organic avocado, and obviously the "no smoking within 50 feet" sign is going to be ignored by the customers of that neighboring business, who are all a bunch of smokers.
