I have read look at markets where you have family or friends but my entire family and friends all live in NYC.I also have read look into markets such as memphis and OH. i was wondering where you guys are investing for 4plex or above or if you guys have any guidance for someone in the 500k budget, and if there are any brokers that have any good listings oos feel free to contact me . thanks again everyone Cleveland would be the way to go for an investment like that.

Ive been looking primarily in the midwest, mainly cleveland, cincinatti, st lois, memphis, and indaniapolis.

Section 8 definitely varies by location.................I have Section 8 rentals in 2 separate counties in California and I have them in Cleveland.

One of my rentals in Cleveland I was to the point of renting, twice.....below market rate and the tenants backed out at the last minute when they said they didn't like this, or that.......I advertised on GoSection8 and found a renter that met my qualifications within 2 days....I told my PM, No Smokers of any kind, No Pets, No Evictions, No felonies, and they have to already have the voucher in hand.Oh, and I'm getting more rent than I initially thought I would get.......PLUS it is a nice hedge against (the next upcoming) recession because I won't have to worry about them claiming they can't pay the rent because 92% of it is paid by Section 8. 

Hey BP Fam,I'm looking into Akron/outer Cleveland, OH for a rental property and wanted to verify if anyone has used IIP Property Management for their units?

Still a newb with one property so not sure where to post this but hoping it works.One of my siding seems to be falling off.Problem is it is towards the top of my house which I would say is about 65 feet up in the air.Does anyone have any reccomendations of a handyman who does this job in the Cleveland area and for how much?

Some markets I believe I will try to start my journey in would be Erie, PA, Cleveland, OH, and Cincinnati, OH, due to my family connections there are familiarity with the area.
