Again, talk with your accountant (maybe a lawyer too) but...One of the biggest challenges I think a lot of 'full time conversion' REIers face is 'how to pay myself in a way that isn't self-employment' ... it becomes a huge deal when you're doing silly little things like, say, getting a cell phone, or a car loan, or a mortgage, or lines of credit... or a credit card...This is where it pays to spend the time and money to set up your LLC/C-Corp/S-Corp correctly so that you can pay yourself on a W2 or through an S-Corp and not have the problems/taxes associated with a 1099.

I have a google voice number I can use, but since I'll be collaborating with other businesses such as wholesalers and other contacts through the REIA I felt perhaps my cell is more appropriate for that.Thanks for any feedback.Matt

Just drive buy, pull the listing agents contact off the sign in the yard, call them on the cell to tell them you'd like to view and will put the offer in through them, and have them meet you there for a showing and write up the offer ... easy.

I did all the good marketing, called my decent list of buyers to see if they know any developers, I gave house packets to the present developers in the area, posted in the marketplace on BP, made a drive the hood video for BP and youtube, and contacting developers in Atlanta; my cell should be ringing off the hook.

Get a Netflix account ($11 for 1 device, couple more bucks for each device, so your house is the $11 and the rental is like $4 or $5+ internet, which you'll have to have anyway).
