Ask a plumber and electrician to come with you on site and ask them questions as to how they figure the cost and take notes , that would help you formulate your own estimates after speaking with several of them.

There's merit in what he says but at the same time he's a high dopamine guy and not everyone needs to own 1000s of doors lol.I think what's most important is to know exactly what you want, how long you want to take to achieve it, why you want to achieve and then formulate a plan to achieve that.
