Hi Kin,Transferring your share of the property to your brother may have tax implications, including gift tax if the transfer is considered a gift.

Determine the most likely sales price of the build (factor in the cost of the land also) and include all selling costs to arrive at your net profit and ROI. 

The house will need a new fence soon, so I'll have to factor that into the scenario.I'm not sure which choice is the best option for me.

Another factor is that insurance coverage is only for the actual building cost to rebuild the structure.

Keep in mind, while the projected performance is very important it should not be the single driving factor in your decision.

These were not specifically related to owning rental properties but the clients' assets (including any owned property) was better protected due to having umbrella coverage.  

Seems doable, depending on a few factors will determine what the right product is for you.
