Doesn't make sense to me that rents can keep pace, but again, there are lots of things that are true in economics that I can't get my brain around...I guess I can add this to the list... :-)

During the fours years I was in I experienced deployments, TDYs, training, etc at a pace I was not ready to experience for the next 16 years. 2) Having moved around I knew exactly where I wanted to end up, and that was in Kentucky.

I'm so thankful to have found a site like BiggerPockets where I can begin to learn at my own pace without having to drop thousands of dollars into a program that I don't know anything about.I originally started cherry-picking episodes of the podcast with titles that interested me and avoiding the ones that seemed intimidating (syndicating, hard-money lending, etc.).

Like I said I am active duty AF and have 8 more years left before retirement.....my goal in life is to build up and build a portfolio that will allow me to work at my own pace after retirement and not scramble to make ends meet.
