This will limit the potential buyers (and there are other circumstances that will give people pause).Although the neighborhood is in a slightly upward transition, most of the immediate surrounding housing is rental, and likely to remain that way for the near future (big old houses converted to apartments, and a couple of former mansion sites that have urban renewal apartment buildings - cheap).I am concerned that the primary market for their house will be rental, with the potential for tenants to block the driveway, causing conflicts with my tenants.

Rate hikes will pause, at worst they will be .25 raisesI know the Fed talked a big game the last time they raised rates by .5%, but banks are already starting to fail. 

It feels like we pressed the pause button on the entire economy. when the dust settles, I think Austin will bounce back quickly.

Now, that might mean competence from the Federal Reserve which we haven't seen recently (COVID cash, keeping rates too long and raising them too fast), but that is my guess on the mid-term fix.Short term though,- Big banks get bigger ... again- Lots of deposits flow to short term treasuries- Fed announces they are pausing interest rates hikes because they have miscalculated the risk in the market (not sure they say that though)I agree though that I would not do a big bailout for those deposits.
