I want my tenants to change their own bulbs if they can be reached and this sounds reasonable.I also want to make sure my places are well lit (read: hazard free) and I don't want to encourage them to do any work that could lead to an injury.

People were using these spare lightbulbs for their bedrooms, and one guy called to complained he used the 40 watt bulbs at his night stand for reading, and 40 watts is too dim.

If you get a place in Pearland, definitely make sure that the front is well lit and has it some basic security measures like a fenced in back yard, etc.
