How many can take a years hit on rent income with a probable big restoration bill?    

We receive a bill pay type check via USPS.

It's just not sustainable.If your goal is strictly cash flow, which is completely amiss the underlying purposes of investing then go buy a treasury bill.

You can contest a higher Tax bill and go before the Board with all your Evidence.

Copies of receipts for materials and paid bills for labor are evidence of value, but not essential.
