We are all adults now, and the flexibility is a great asset for us.  

6 people. 1 adult, 5 children. 3 BR.

The first is to provide the life I promised my beautiful bride (that's Nikki) in my initial pitch 19 years ago.My wife, Nikki, is a licensed cosmetologist/hair magician, homeschooling mom of 4, entrepreneur in women's health, a CRAZY phenomenal cook, a very loyal (read: non-gossipy) friend, and all-round pretty fantastic chick.My 2nd dream is producing 4 highly-productive, others-focused, highly unaverage adults out of my beautiful kids.Number 3 is changing every single life I touch for the positive, some in big ways, some in "small" ways.I love to inspire, encourage and strengthen people.

On the other hand, I remember very clearly what it was like to be in my early 20s, despite how much I creak now.On the one hand, you're an adult and you should have the ability to make adult decisions such as whether or not to live with your boyfriend.  

@Steve Babiak  I had just ate a few of those donuts you gave me and was not really that coherent :)although in CA something like 1 out of 10 adults has a RE licnese its some huge amountwhenever I am a guest speaker at an event first thing I do is ask for a show of hands who is licensedand 3/4ths of the rooms raise their hand;.next up is how many are private lenders about half raise there hands... :) and of course lending in CA needs NMLS or BRE Brokers license so you get the drift.. people just do what they want to do. 

I can remember as a young adult all I wanted to accomplish in life was to have a job I loved that made me six figures a year.

I have some co-workers who are coddling their little cocoons, and I shudder to think what will become of them as young adults. 

You learned several things here,1) Every adult must sign the contract2) Every adult should undergo a background check before you enter into a contract with them.3) Subletting (which is really what this sounds like) is not allowed.I think you have an argument that the other tenants actually Sublette the unit and as such they are actually the landlord.

I want to sit down with them and go over the numbers, but this is an estate with 5 adult kids who want the $$$.

Some back drop: My mother lives in Paterson and has been for most or more than my adult life.
