Consider all the things that could go wrong and see if the lease addresses them: unauthorized pets or tenants, early termination, security deposit, lease violations, late rent, eviction, lawn maintenance, parking, etc.5.

Maybe that's what they are referring to and have the number wrong?

The last thing you want to do is not have the correct agreement in place and then they come back and sue you for wrongful eviction!!

Otherwise any advice here could be wrong or for nothing.

If something goes wrong with the property—like debts or legal issues—your personal stuff is generally safe.

I was disappointed in the response from RentPrep that it was not understood how that happened and the applicant apparently did something wrong.
