People have problems when they plant trees too close to houses, power lines or the road/sidewalk.

In short, there is infrastructure (sidewalks, etc) so this is partially improved land.

Root in Sewer Line: There is a root from a mature tree partially obstructing the sewer line next to the sidewalk.

BTW: Marlon made enough to buy the truck I had lent him but soon after had a massive heart attack and dropped dead one day on a sidewalk while cleaning out a cellar for someone.

Accenuate that the left side is the 'important' side of the house by having more extensive  (but low growing) foundation plantings as well as a nice sweep of bark or groundcover curving around the sidewalk and side of the house.
