While I understand that the seller wants to get an acceptable price for their property, my main gripe is that the seller has configured it so that every bid must go up by increments of 10,000 up to a certain point and then 5,000 after that.

These are essentially larger baseboards filled with a thermal mass (brick/stone/etc) and a control unit which can be configured to take advantage of off-peak hydro rates and charge the thermal mass when electricity prices are lower.

@ryan r Depending upon the size and configuration of the house, the shear loading at the corner of a residential structure can reach a couple thousand pounds of force with a design wind loading in most of the U.S.

If most everything is working, it could just be a few hundred to clean.To fill it in properly is probably $2000-5000, depending on size, configuration and accessibility.

In the days when my partner and I had projects scattered around the NW we had airport cars at 3 different small airports.. flying your own plane is cool until you land and try to figure out how your going to drive anywhere.. our projects were at uncontrolled airports with no amenities.. there are new improvements coming out for the X and S I would wait for those to hit before you configure . 

Saved us a lot of money knowing our configuration would come out great.In addition we were able to do our own drawings for permitting with the city.

Thoughts on two duplexes vs a duplex and a triplex or any other configurations?
