I bought another house with a MIL apartment a bit ago and it needs a washer/dryer in the main unit (that I will be living in, though I will eventually rent the house out).

If you'd like to someday be the owner of your company instead of chief cook and bottle washer, eventually you will have to hire someone to perform these functions so the sooner you track them as cost items the better.

Here's the facts I have:Four 2 BR each with large storage unit w/ washer/dryer hookupsTwo Efficiencies w/ washer/dryer hookupsSix carports with Storage UnitsWell constructed building with a newer roof and all units but 1 remodeled.

We also bought a pool table, ping-pong table, grill and patio furniture, and washer/dryer for our rental along with a couple of TVs, a DVD player, etc.One area not to skimp: chairs.

I'm currently converting a 'utility room' into a full bath and moving the washer dryer to an enormous closet in the master bedroom upstairs.  

Stackable washer and dryer will go to right.Pass through added from kitchen to family room and new drywall is up.The pass through from the family room looking into kitchen.New windows should be in next week.

turned the dining room into her master bedroom as she could no longer get her huge frame up the stairs.Then had the washer & dryer plumbed into her new master bedroom so she didn't have to negotiate the stairs to the basement.But always paid on time including rent increases for 4 good years.I am also convinced she cooked & ate our resident groundhog.
