@Krista Lance, I would say with 7 properties that its a good time to start thinking about bookkeeping software.

I ask why and they say "well I did not know my grandpop was going to die" and right when they say that usually they start to understand.Correct.  

I would recommend joining ULI (Urban Land Institute) They have a network of people that can provide exactly what you are looking for I discovered their youtube page last year and started binging......I would like to do the same...

@Omar Fernandez - you can start by reaching out to some attorneys, NYC is an attorney city so you'll have to get an attorney involved (who usually orders the title search). 

While this has been an unfortunate start to my investing journey, I still believe in RTR’s future as I see great opportunity here for investors when it’s done right.

Starting with house hacking is a smart move, especially in a higher-cost area.

@Malcolm Brown it is great that you are thinking of the money to fund the deals you are going to get started with but understanding what a deal is, I think, should be the starting point. 

I started out with little to nothing when I was in the Army and building up properties slowly. 

Economic progress is rarely a straight line, and the key takeaway is that while inflation is still present, it is not accelerating out of control.Much of the increase in prices can be attributed to factors that often occur at the start of the year.
