This company is banking with 2 banks (some banks are better/easier for some type of transaction than other: ie wire transfer, ach, zelle, after hours cash deposit, etc...).

It will save you from lots of head aches down the road.

There are times were ACH/Wires happened and someone forgets to put it in.

My landlord only accepts checks and money orders (or ACH transfers from a bank account for a fee).

It makes it super easy to pay online-- For computer phobic (usually older) tenants instead of checks we have them fill out an ACH permission form and then set up a Buildium account with recurring payments for them.
