The sad thing is that they are legally allowed to be corrupt via the lobbying network.It baffles me when something is allowed to continue that is so "in your face" wrong, such as, the lobbying practices.

The furnishings budget is very high partly because I try to over estimate, but also because the competition is very high end and loaded with extras, like pool and foosball tables, theater rooms, very nice furniture, kegerators, and the aforementioned TVs,Playstations, etc.

I could understand variance with even +/- 10%, but 22% seems malicious to me.My agent said I can either bow out and try to fight for my earnest deposit or try to lobby for a reassessment but some internet research tells me that sellers usually tell buyers to f-- off.

The general consensus was that the hotel industry lobby is big and powerful. 

I'm guess it won't be challenged by lawmakers as such anytime soon but hopefully someone will step up to lobby before long on behalf of the elderly and to revamp the reverse mortgage policy.Kudos,Mary
