We are trying to extend closing another month to give the COVID chaos some time to settle but I, as well as many others, am beginning to think a month is not enough time.

So WI, Illinois, Iowa, Tennessee, Kentucky, etc. 

In my state (Iowa) we are required to give 30 days notice.

We also love the idea of living right near the coast as we're both from Iowa, but are curious how big of a concern hurricanes are in coastal cities regarding RE investing?

Were I a gambling man, and could find somebody to take me up, I'd bet on another extension.I doubt I could find anybody to bet the other way though, so it's probably just as well I'm not a gambling man.

There are a lot of tools/resources out there which can help with tenant screening and the new laws can make some of it confusing (admittedly I'm not based in NY nor am I a lawyer who is well-versed in some of these new NY laws).
